scary book writing
Question: I want to write a scary book about an old school on top of a hill but I am stuck on characters and how to start. Answer:
I suggest you start by making a long list of questions someone could ask about your idea. Just questions - any questions. (For instance: Who goes to this school? What are the teachers like? Who runs it? How old is it? What makes it scary? Etc.)
Once you have a long list, go back and makes lists of possible answers for each question. All answers are valid at this state.
After you've done all this, then you can start choosing the answers you like the most.
Then write a more detailed outline of your idea - one that includes all the answers you've chosen.
Repeat this process a few times if you need to.
