Question: I've been trying to a book. I don't know what to do. Should I just start writing? I know what I want to write, but don't know how to start off! Please help.

Answer: If you know what you want to write then, yes, you can just start. You don't have to start at the beginning. You can start where you have a clear idea of what will happen.

Later, if and when you get stuck, you can go back and do some planning. If this is fiction, you can develop a plot outline, flesh out some of your characters, or do some research/design work on your setting. Do whatever helps you develop a clearer picture or sense of your story, so that you can return to the writing with a feeling of certainty or empowerment.
