Question: I want to write about a wolf pack in a real world that finds a portal to a fantasy world. I need help with the wolves point of view. When they go in the fantasy world it will be easy, but how to I write as if I am the wolf?Answer:
I suggest you start by reading up on wolf behavior, to get the details of their lifestyle, social relationships, etc. That way, you can write from their point of view, describing what they perceive with their senses, their actions, desires, etc., just as you would for human characters.
The other question is whether you will anthropomorphize them at all. How intelligent, for example, will your wolf characters be? Will they essentially be human beings in wolf bodies? (There are plenty of books with such animal characters.) Or will they have only wolf-level intelligence until they reach the fantasy world?
